40 Days of Prayer for Pastor Kim
When I think of where we were a year and a half ago, I can hardly believe where we are now. And it's all because of you...each one of you. Because of your presence here, your tithes, your hard work and your prayers of support, we are at a place to welcome a new pastor.
We've been trying to think a way to show Pastor Kim Krogstad that we are excited for her to be here and understand this transition for her and for us. When I was on the phone call with another pastor, she said, "I don't know why I'm telling you this but when I accepted the call at my current congregation, they had a calendar showing members of the congregation praying for me for my first month." Well I know why she said that, because we came up with 40 days of Prayer for Pastor Kim. We want to pray for her transition, her meeting all of us, getting used to our style, us getting used to her style and us supporting each other. We are all in this together.
There is a calendar in Common Grounds that you can sign up for a day or more for yourself, your family, your small group, or your ministry team. More than one person or group can sign up on the same day. We would like to fill the 40 days and if we go beyond that, great! We'll keep it up in Common Grounds so you can check to remember your day or days. And feel free to ask her if she has a specific prayer in mind.
