New Orleans, here we come! Bake Sale Fundraiser in December!

I am pleased to report that we have a great group of 8 teens registered for the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this July of 2012! The Gathering program is built around three core practices in which these young people will be immersed before they go to New Orleans, while they are attending the Gathering, and again, in the communities of their congregations and synods when they return home. The core practices — Discipleship, Peacemaking and Justice — serve to accentuate God’s greatest commandment: to love the Lord our God and our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:34–40). Our first fundraiser for the gathering will be a Holiday Bake Sale on Sunday December 4th. Please help us raise money to help these teens with the cost in attending this gathering! All Saints members, Dave and Gail McNeil, have so graciously offered to donate their very delicious homemade fudge, which we will be selling at $8.00 per pound. This is quite a deal compared to most fudge prices out there! The fudge makes great Christmas gifts for friends, teachers and co-workers! We thank you Dave and Gail for this most generous donation! We will have many other homemade holiday goodies available also.

Instrumentalists and Vocalists Needed …Once again we are looking for musicians and vocalists to offer up Christmas music for the half hour before our Sunday School Christmas Program.
